Event Description

Come and join Rock Choir for exciting singing and signing session!

“Rock & Sign” is a feel-good session with a difference! Not only do you get to dance along to some good ol’ favourite 70’s and 80’s dance tunes,  you’ll also be taught some signs and natural body language to accompany the songs. This session is interweaved with interesting information about sign language and Deaf culture so you can have a little work out while learning some fascinating facts and tips on communication. Each session starts with a gentle warm up and ends with a cool down to stretch your muscles. Please note however, it is not necessary to dance or move if you don’t want to – all abilities and disabilities are welcome, and if you’d rather sit down and join in with a nice cup of tea, that’s totally fine too! Stacey will gauge the session based on the people who join in at the time but be warned, if the majority of participants are groovin’ on down, she’s been known to ramp things up a little with the odd party mover (“Agadoo” springs to mind!!)

  • Duration: 60 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (no replay available)

We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
