Event Description

With around 1000 years of history as a place of learning, it’s no surprise that Oxford has produced its fair share of writers. On this stroll through the ancient university city, we are on the trail of three of our most famous and best loved fantasy authors – Lewis Carroll, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. We will find out about their lives and careers at Oxford, see the places they lived and worked and find out more about some of their inspirations. Along the way, we will see some of the city’s most iconic buildings and also learn more about England’s oldest university.

The event will be in the form of an “as live tour” – with live presentation over pre-recorded video footage of the relevant locations.

  • Duration: 60 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (no replay available)

Preparing for the Event

For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).

We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
