Our class is designed for all abilities, with a variety of options within the class to work at your own level and improve at your own pace. This class is also practical in minimal space, with most of the exercises being done on the spot, utilizing your feet and focusing on postural alignment and grace.
Lucia will guide you through a series of barre ballet and contemporary dance exercises that will help align your body with core and fundamental dance techniques. This class will leave you feeling revived and strong, with improved balance and body awareness.
In addition to the physical benefits, our barre and contemporary dance class offers a creative outlet for dancers to explore their own movement style and combine some choreography with the exercises that have been explored.

Meet the Host, Lucia
After attending an Oxfordshire based dance school, and studying dance, acting and singing, Lucia became a vocal and dance coach working with a variety of ages and abilities. As a professional performer, she has also choreographed many dance group numbers for different musical shows and has toured with a number of different companies.
In the last few years, alongside taking on dance roles for the BBC and other independent gigs, she started dancing with South West Dance Theatre, performing and choreographing group numbers, solo and duo. She has also taught at other Bristol based dance companies including A + E dance and fitness, and list of life.
Now with 9 years teaching and performance experience, she is excited to bring her eclectic training and teaching methods to Mirthy, to offer weekly high quality barre/ contemporary lessons to work on inner core, strength and dance musicality through flow and technique, alongside separate jazz dance workshops bringing her musical theatre experience to the workshops for fun upbeat choreography.
