- DURATION 60 mins
Event Description
We've used trees throughout history and up to the present day for a vast array of purposes which make use of almost every part of them. Looking at twelve trees as examples, this talk will explore how and why trees have proved so important to us. We've found trees are a good source of materials and can provide food and medicinal compounds and we'll consider the history of and the science behind these uses. We’ll also consider some of the folklore we've attached to trees and what our interactions with trees can tell us about ourselves.
