Event Description

The 15th and 16th centuries were a time of rapid technical and decorative development in the field of glass and ceramics in Italy. A great deal of inspiration came from imports from around the Mediterranean and much further afield. At this time of year when you might be thinking of Christmas shopping, come and see some of the most desirable household objects from the Renaissance.

  • Duration: 60 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (a recording will be available)

Meet the Host, Antonia Cevizli

Antonia Gatward Cevizli has a PhD in Art History from the University of Warwick. Her research and publications focus on Renaissance Italy and cultural exchange with the Islamic World. However, her interests are broad and she has taught a wide chronology of Art History at Sotheby’s Institute of Art; Sabancı University, Istanbul and across the collections of both Tate Modern and Tate Britain. She lectures for a number of institutions including the V&A Academy and The Courtauld summer school. She enjoys introducing people to different periods of art and helping them to gain a greater enjoyment of Art History.
