Event Description
This talk looks at the literary adaptations that have been a staple of movies screens and television sets. From the Dickens story that has been adapted more than any other novel, to young wizards and hobbits whose screen adaptations regularly fire up the internet, and a certain Jane Austen gentleman whose emergence from a lake resulted in an avalanche of letters to Aunty Beeb, it will look at those adaptations that live up to their literary sources and the ones that are guaranteed to get the book’s fans blood boiling!
