Janice Fraser's journey to becoming an exercise/dance teacher started in 2018, fulfilling a childhood dream ignited by early dance classes. Armed with a degree in Health Studies and a career in special needs, she embarked on this new path. In 2017, her involvement in fundraising for Parkinson’s UK sparked a keen interest in Parkinson’s Dance (PD).
Since then, Janice has been continuously learning and improving her teaching skills. She studied PD through Community Dance and had the privilege to work and study with experienced dancers from Scottish Ballet and Dancebase. Since Covid she has produced a range of dance fitness classes online, particularly designed for anyone wanting to improve their health and wellbeing.
Janice has been involved in various dance-related events, workshops, and talks, addressing mental health, strength, balance, and well-being. Janice is a certified instructor for Exercise to Music, holds a BA in Health Studies with distinction, and has completed the People Dancing / Dance for PD training with distinction.
As an active member of numerous organisations, including The Care and Wellbeing Collective, Community Dance, GrowBiz Scotland, and Dance for PD, Janice continuously contributes to the dance community and strives to improve the lives of others through the joy and wellness that dance brings.
