Join Komal on this cooking experience, fall in love with Indian cooking, and learn about the nature of spices.
When talking about India, it's unusual not to mention its flavourful and diverse food. But there are many misconceptions about Indian cooking being really time consuming and difficult, requiring a lot of different ingredients, or that it can't be done on your own, and has to be very hot.
Through this tour, your host, Komal hopes to change these perceptions about Indian cooking, and India in general, as you learn how to cook authentic Indian food from your own home. You can follow along step by step or simply watch to try later as we show you how to make one of the most famous and delicious delicacies, Shahi Paneer along with an Indian Bread, giving you a restaurant-at-home experience!
Here are the ingredients needed for making Shahi Paneer :
250 gm Paneer( cottage cheese)/Tofu
2 medium sized onions
4 small sized tomatoes
8-10 cashew nutsGinger, Garlic( optional)
1 green chilli
Green cardamom
Spices, Salt, red chilli powder, dry coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin seedsHoneyCream ( Any kind, coconut, milk, etc)
Oil ( Any Kind)
N.B. Kindly slice the onions and tomatoes before if you wish to cook along. We would require a mixer grinder in the process as well.
For making bread with layers which is called layered Parantha, here are the ingredients:
Wheat flour/Multigrain flour
Oil( Any Kind)

Preparing for the Event
For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).
We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!

What if I can’t make the event?
If a recording’s available for the event, you can still register for it and we will send you an email with a link to a recording shortly after it ends.
Will my camera be on and will I be visible to the other people?
Your camera and microphone does not need to be on for you to enjoy the event. The choice about whether to do this is completely yours.
How do I watch the live event?

How do I sign-up for and access the recording? (Recorded events only)
Book the event as normal (as if you are attending live). After the event ends you will automatically receive a post-event email with a link to the recording, as long as the event was recorded. You do not need to do anything else and there is no separate booking process for recordings only. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for Zoom to process recordings.
