Event Description
Using a variety of films from the 40s to the present day, Amit will explore the essential elements of how music works with film, how it supports storytelling and the transformational emotional power of music in creating a full 3D experience for the audience. This is an unmissable introduction to the composition, production and editing processes. These two presentations will also include clips of behind-the-scenes interviews with composers and directors who talk candidly about how a score evolves. These two presentations would be of enormous benefit for anyone who wants to attend future talks of film music.
Amit is hoping to present further talks on specific composers and the franchises they have scored for, e.g. Ennio Morricone and the Spaghetti Westerns, Lalo Schifrin and the Dirty Harry films etc.
- Duration: 60 mins x 2
