Event Description

In this session we will be covering two projects. The first project is a Christmas tree and the second project is a Christmas stocking. The session will be 90-minutes in order to cover all of the information.

The tree will have two styles. A plain, no frills tree worked in the round, and the second style we will use the plain version as a base then add branches to give it more texture. These trees will be made to fit over most any cone-shape such as a styrofoam cone-shaped base. The trees can also be stuffed with poly fill to help them keep their shape.

The stocking will be made using granny squares and triangles and will use the magic loop technique. The squares and triangles will be made and then stitched together to form the stocking.

Materials:

Tree - one skein yarn in a color of your choice.

Stocking - yarn in the color or colors of your choice. Each granny square will be made up of three rows so you can use most any color or colors you’d like.

Crochet hook - size 5.00 mm/US size H

Darning needle

  • Duration: 90 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (a recording will be available)
