Event Description
Audrey Hepburn was said to be one of the most beautiful women of all time. Audrey was born in Belgium and started her career in the world of ballet in London. Becoming a professional dancer did not come to fruition so a change of career into acting was the next step.
After some minor film appearances, her first starring role was in ‘Roman Holiday’ with Gregory Peck. The film was a great success and Audrey won an Academy Award for Best Actress. Another victory was to play Holly Golightly in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany's’. A different direction in her acting ability was in the film Wait Until Dark, a suspense thriller where Audrey played the part of a blind woman. Over the years her co stars included Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant.
In later life she was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF. Sadly, Audrey died in her sleep at home after a long illness at the age of just 63.

Meet the Host, Steve
Steve Short has been a full time professional entertainer and speaker for more than 30-years and have entertained on cruise ships and appeared on television and radio. He has given talks and entertained audiences of all types and spoken at many venues and for various functions including after-dinner engagements, charity events, National Trust, Rotary, PROBUS, TWG, WI, U3A.

What if I can’t make the event?
If a recording’s available for the event, you can still register for it and we will send you an email with a link to a recording shortly after it ends.
Will my camera be on and will I be visible to the other people?
Your camera and microphone does not need to be on for you to enjoy the event. The choice about whether to do this is completely yours.
How do I watch the live event?
Rest Less events are hosted on Zoom, a computer application that allows you to attend online events just by clicking a link. For detailed instructions, please go to our "FAQ" page, which you can find a link to in the nav bar at the top of the page.
How do I sign-up for and access the recording? (Recorded events only)
Book the event as normal (as if you are attending live). After the event ends you will automatically receive a post-event email with a link to the recording, as long as the event was recorded. You do not need to do anything else and there is no separate booking process for recordings only. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for Zoom to process recordings.
