World Osteoporosis Day

Osteoporosis is a condition in which the bones become fragile leading to a higher risk of fractures ( breaks or cracks ) than in normal bone.

For World Osteoporosis Day we are sharing Helen's workshop from September.

Pilates can help improve bone strength, posture and balance and therefore significantly reduce the risk of fractures. I will demonstrate postures / activities for daily life and key Pilates exercises and modifications to help you get the most out of our regular Pilates classes.

This workshop is appropriate for anyone with a diagnosis of osteoporosis or osteopenia or if you are just interested to learn.

In December Helen will be hosting a follow on session from the above workshop, responding to requests in the feedback for more advice on activities of daily living and demonstrations of appropriate exercises, so a more practical session
