Event Description

Mental Fitness is about learning simple ways to quiet the mental noise, handle life’s ups and downs with more ease, and reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity, calm and confidence. It works in the same way as physical fitness: to build mental muscles, we need to strengthen them through practical exercises.

In this 45-minute session, you’ll be introduced to:

→ Everyday tools and practices to build resilience—so challenges don’t knock you o course so easily

→ Micro-practices you can use in moments of stress, self-doubt or scattered thinking

→ Deeper practices to help shift long-standing patterns, gently and sustainably

→ A more compassionate way to relate to yourself, without the pressure of needing to “fix” anything

Come with curiosity and leave with something practical, thoughtful, and empowering.

It’s never too late to train your mind.

And it’s never too late to feel more like yourself again.

Meet the Host, Solomon

Hi, I’m Sol. I’m a Mindfulness and Mental Fitness coach, and my work is all about helping people build the inner strength to meet life fully—to live with presence, resilience, and connection.

My background is varied. I’ve worked across the education sector, coordinated social action projects at a community hub in London, dug soil on small organic farms, and spent time as Head of Community in the start-up world. These days, I run The Alt Academy, where I teach Mental Flow—a practical, down-to-earth framework I developed to help people strengthen the mind like a muscle and unlock what holds them back.

Outside of work, I love exploring. I once spent 18 months cycling through South America with just a tent and a stove. I also have a habit of signing up for things that gently terrify me—like 10-day silent retreats, or plunging into freezing cold water.

Life’s good. It keeps me curious.

What if I can’t make the event?

If a recording’s available for the event, you can still register for it and we will send you an email with a link to a recording shortly after it ends.

Will my camera be on and will I be visible to the other people?

Your camera and microphone does not need to be on for you to enjoy the event. The choice about whether to do this is completely yours.

How do I watch the live event?

Rest Less events are hosted on Zoom, a computer application that allows you to attend online events just by clicking a link. For detailed instructions, please go to our "FAQ" page, which you can find a link to in the nav bar at the top of the page.

How do I sign-up for and access the recording? (Recorded events only)

Book the event as normal (as if you are attending live). After the event ends you will automatically receive a post-event email with a link to the recording, as long as the event was recorded. You do not need to do anything else and there is no separate booking process for recordings only. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for Zoom to process recordings.
