Join Komal on this cooking experience, fall in love with Indian cooking, and learn about the nature of spices.
When we talk about India, one of the things which India is really famous for is its flavorful and diverse food. Often we have misconceptions about Indian cooking and food like it is really time consuming and difficult, requires a lot of different ingredients, can't be done on your own or that it is very hot. On this tour, your host would be changing lot of perceptions about Indian cooking, India in general and you will be learning how to cook real authentic Indian food from your own home as you follow along step by step together . Indian street snacks are also very famous and hence in this class, you would be learning a totally unique and easy way of making two different kinds of snacks - Pakoras and Aloo Tikki!
Ingredients for Pakoras (1 person):
1 finely chopped Potato, carrot, cauliflower,onion (you can chop any vegetables which are available)
Chickpea Flour
Oil (any oil except olive oil will work)
Spices, Red Chilli Powder, dry coriander powder, salt, Carom seeds, Garam masala (optional)
And
Ingredients for the most famous Aloo Tikki :
2 Boiled Potatoes
Corn Flour
Bread crumbs(approx. of 3 sandwich bread pieces)
Oil (any oil except olive oil will work)
Spices, Red Chilli Powder, dry coriander powder, salt, Carom seeds, Garam masala( optional)
Fresh coriander leaves (optional)
Dry Mango powder (optional)
Make street food from the comfort of your home with your host, Komal. You can ask any questions about Indian customs, culture, cuisines or local Delhi life which she will be more than happy to answer. Along with learning about India and its food, get ready to learn a little Hindi (one of the most common languages in India).

Komal has been working in the travel and tourism industry for the past 8 years. She started guiding at the age of 19 and since then has always loved introducing people to Indian culture and heritage. She has been hosting virtual experiences, especially cooking ones, for the past 2 years and has introduced people around the world and changed their perceptions about Indian food and cooking in general. Preparing for the Event
For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).
We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!

What if I can’t make the event?
If a recording’s available for the event, you can still register for it and we will send you an email with a link to a recording shortly after it ends.
Will my camera be on and will I be visible to the other people?
Your camera and microphone does not need to be on for you to enjoy the event. The choice about whether to do this is completely yours.
How do I watch the live event?
Rest Less events are hosted on Zoom, a computer application that allows you to attend online events just by clicking a link. For detailed instructions, please go to our "FAQ" page, which you can find a link to in the nav bar at the top of the page.
How do I sign-up for and access the recording? (Recorded events only)
Book the event as normal (as if you are attending live). After the event ends you will automatically receive a post-event email with a link to the recording, as long as the event was recorded. You do not need to do anything else and there is no separate booking process for recordings only. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for Zoom to process recordings.
