Event Description

“I’ve gained weight even though my eating hasn’t changed.”

If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. Menopause weight gain is incredibly common and can leave us feeling frustrated and confused. It’s easy to blame ourselves, thinking we lack willpower or that everyone else has it figured out.

But the truth is—it’s not your fault.

Menopause increases the likelihood of weight gain for many reasons. To find out why and get practical advice and tips, grab your diary and make a date for this brilliant free webinar where our expert panel will be discussing this and more:

  • My Menopause Centre’s Dr Anna Greaves, Registered Menopause Specialist & GP
  • Clare Grace, founder of Second Spring Nutrition and an HCPC Registered Dietitian with a MSc in Health Sciences and a PhD in Nutrition
  • Chaired by My Menopause Centre Co-Founder Helen Normoyle

We’ll be talking about:

  • Why weight gain is so common in the menopause and how impacts our wider health and wellbeing
  • The importance of good gut health and how it’s impacted by menopause
  • What healthy eating looks like (and why faddy diets are a waste of time)
  • The link between ultra processed foods (UPFs) and weight gain and the UPF food swaps that can make a big difference
  • How to deal with the things that stop us from making the food changes we know we need and want to make
  • And the answer to that million-dollar question: how to stay motivated

Plus there will be time to answer your questions (or email us in advance at [email protected])

We can’t wait – and we look forward to seeing you there too!

Meet the Panellists

Dr Anna Greaves

MBChB, BMedSc (Hons), MRCGP, MRCP, DRCOG,DFSRH
Registered Menopause Specialist and GP

Dr Anna is a registered menopause specialist and NHS GP. She graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008 and is a diplomat of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

She has been a GP for over 10 years and has always had an interest in women’s health. While working as a GP she saw that there was an unmet need to support women struggling with the perimenopause and menopause. Seeing the vast range of physical impacts and hearing the stories of these women inspired her to undertake the Advanced Menopause Training with the British Menopause Society. As well as her work with My Menopause Centre, she also works in an NHS menopause clinic.

Clare Grace

Clare is a registered dietitian and nutritionist with over 30 years of experience and founder of Second Spring Nutrition (www.secondspringnutrition.co.uk). Specializing in weight management and diabetes remission she brings a wealth of expertise in how nutrition can affect our health during the menopause transition. Her background in research, helps cut through the conflicting nutrition advice to uncover practical, evidence-based approaches that make a difference. Over the years, she has guided thousands of women in transforming their eating habits and overall health by blending proven nutrition strategies with an understanding of the psychology of eating. As a mum of two in her 50’s, Clare understands the unique challenges of this stage of life and is committed to helping women feel empowered to make sustainable, enjoyable changes to their eating and health.
