Event Description

Join us for a fascinating session all about expedition cruising around the Galapagos Islands — a place where evolution comes to life. Famous for inspiring Darwin’s theory of natural selection, these remote islands are home to ancient giant tortoises, comical blue-footed boobies, and landscapes as otherworldly as the wildlife itself.

Leon Hand, Training Manager at Celebrity Cruises, shares stories and insights from his own travels in the region, along with tips on how best to explore the islands — often in the company of expert naturalists, with daily landings offering rare encounters with nature. Whether you're considering a trip or simply curious about this extraordinary part of the world, this talk is a chance to discover what makes an expedition cruise to discover the Galapagos Islands such a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

  • Duration: 60 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (a recording will be available)
